Cassie Ponsor - CEO

Robert Ponsor - President

I am a mother of three who overcame significant life challenges, including homelessness and substance use disorder. After a period of incarceration and losing custody of my children, I made the decision to completely change my life for their future and mine. Through determination, accountability, and resilience, I rebuilt my life and have maintained sobriety for nearly 22 years. These experiences deeply shaped who I am today and inspired a lifelong commitment to giving back to my community. I am passionate about creating hope, stability, and opportunities for others facing similar circumstances, and I am excited to see the positive impact this work will have in the future.

It's one thing to want to help the homeless and less fortunate, but it's another thing when you have actually lived it. Being a teenager who has lived on the streets, not knowing where my next meal is going to be, was a struggle. Eventually, with the right help, I was able to get my life together. I have always wanted to help others, whether they be teenagers or adults. I just wanted to help. I have the opportunity to do it, and now I'm full steam ahead.

Hello, I'm Robert J.I am a regular guy

Someone who faces daily challenges, like most people. I am kind-hearted and determined; I'd like to think I'm funny, but overall, I'm someone who likes to give back to the world when I have the chance.  That is what I'm here to do. God bless you all.

My name is Ashton Ballejos, and I am the housing and outreach director working with Ponsors Thrift Store to help others. My key role here is to identify what resources and community needs that individuals or families struggling could potentially need assistance with. I am responsible for building and strengthening relationships between organizations and the communities they serve. I am fueled by passion and the desire to make a difference.

I'm Dawn... I was born to a father who served in the Air Force as a MSGT. Some of my childhood wasn't ideal. I was manipulated into sexual encounters from an early age. We moved to Victorville in 87 in the same house I've been in for over 30 years. Where I encountered being bullied into more sexual manipulation. I was, in my opinion, love-starved by my parents, on top of it.  I then started dating my very abusive boyfriend, moved out of my parents' house...and was almost killed by him. Came back home, then started drinking and turned into a Major alcoholic. Met my husband and had 2 beautiful kids by him. I left him because of him selling drugs and also doing drugs.                              I decided to stay home, where my family and I began to disagree about how my children were being raised. Got into dugs  My dad passed away in 2019, things got worse for me. I became homeless after 3 years of his passing. Came back home and am now sober for almost 2 years
